Frequently Asked Questions

What do you mean by “High Tech Fitting”

Most club fittings are done by hitting various demo clubs indoors or on a range and selecting the best fit in terms of ball flight, shot dispersion and feel. Clubs are then recommended with shafts, lengths and lie angles for the customer.

A High Tech Fitting involves using the latest in shaft load testing, club frequency (shaft stiffness) analysis, and launch monitors/ball flight monitors to fit EXACT shaft flex, weight, tip profile, swing weight, club head design, loft, lie, spin rates, and grips to the natural swing of the golfer.

What do I get for my fitting fee?

You will get a detailed analysis of your existing equipment, including flex, swing weights, lofts, lies. I addition, you will get a detailed fitting recommendation for club design, shaft weights, flexes, swing weights, tip profiles, lofts and lies. You will also get a copy of your ball flight monitor statistics from the Trackman monitor and recommendations for the type of ball you should play.

How long does a fitting take?

Allow at least an hour for either an iron fitting or driver fitting. A complete fitting will take about two hours, or more.

I like my clubs. Do I have to buy new clubs?

Not at all. We will recommend re-shafting your existing equipment, if it is appropriate for your game improvement objectives. We offer a wide variety of shafts that will exactly match your profile in various price ranges.

What is Find Your Distance?

This great tool allows you to hit up to 13 clubs a minimum of five times (for calculating averages) and presents a detailed report of the exact carry distances with each club in your bag. From there you can see the “gaps” in distances and potential changes in clubs that will help you improve your game.

What kind of improvement can I expect?

With properly fit equipment, we fully expect you to increase both your consistency in ball striking and distance at least 5%. Most importantly, we can actually decrease your shot dispersion by at least 50%. The result can be anywhere from 2 to 20 strokes off your game.
